Brown: Who Do You Trust?
Regarding
U.S. Taxes
Tax
experts, including one who spent a
year researching whether enough
states properly ratified the 16th
Amendment – which authorizes
Congress to collect income taxes
-- are as insistent as ever that
Americans are not mandated to pay
Uncle Sam a portion of what they
earn every year.
http://www.law.cornell.edu/constitution/constitution.amendmentxvi.html
"There were enough states …
even without Ohio to
complete" the required
three-fourths of the states to
ratify the amendment, said the IRS
document. "Furthermore, the
U.S. Supreme Court upheld the
constitutionality of the income
tax laws enacted subsequent"
to the ratification of the
amendment.
In his research, however, Benson
found that only four states
ratified the amendment
"without changing the
wording." He maintains that,
constitutionally, states cannot
change words or punctuation when
voting to accept or reject a
constitutional amendment.
"The only thing the states
can do is accept or reject the
wording (of an amendment) as
is," Benson told WND.
"The legislatures of each
state cannot change any of it.
Otherwise, we'd have 48 different
versions of the law."
"What is stated [in the IRS
document] is a bald-faced
lie," Kidd said.
"Since it was never ratified
and we can prove it wasn’t, then
apportionment is still in effect
and again, everything else is
moot," she said. The
government's "progressive,
unapportioned tax is, and always
has been, unlawful."
Rather than dicker over IRS codes,
legal impressions and court cases,
Kidd and other
"tax-honesty" proponents
believe the key to discovering the
legality of income tax lies in
proving these contentions:
* That the IRS is not an
authorized agency of the
government and has no authority to
conduct business;
* That the government's
jurisdiction is not valid;
* The fraudulent ratification of
the 16th Amendment unlawfully
wiped out the apportionment clause
of the Constitution;
* That an individual is, without
question, forced to involuntarily
surrender his Fifth Amendment
right against self-incrimination
by filing any income tax form
under penalty of perjury.
Another area of concern, Kidd
says, is that the courts
themselves can’t even decide, in
a universal manner, what
constitutes an income tax or what
the income tax really is -- direct
or excise.
"That’s a fact and it
creates what is known as a problem
[IRS] document," she said.
Even former IRS commissioners have
questioned the legitimacy of the
very agency they serve.

they say their own poll was rigged…
"How
is Ron Paul's number so high?" (25%, he

"Absolutely", agrees another FoxNews

10,000 people to vote a certain way, not that tough."
He then says, "OR, maybe Ron Paul is the Sanjaya

FRED THOMPSON ON
SCOOTER LIBBY
From
NBC's Joel Seidman
Likely presidential candidate Fred Thompson
(R) released this statement:
"I
am very happy for Scooter Libby. I know that this
is a great relief to him, his wife and children. While
for a long time I have urged a pardon for Scooter, I
respect the President's decision. This will allow
a good American, who has done a lot for his country,
to resume his life."
What Else Should We Expect From a Lifelong K Street Lobbyist
USA
Today finally breaks the national media
silence about the one-third of
Fred Thompson's life that he spent as a high-paid corporate
lobbyist in Washington, D.C.
Thompson's campaign, which is being run by his fellow K
Street lobbyists, responded by saying only that being a K
Street lobbyist "is an honorable endeavor that goes
back to the beginnings of this republic." I love this
pathetic attempt to liken corporate lobbying right up there
on the "honorable" scale with George Washington
heroically crossing the Delaware. What's funny is that you
could say a lot of things "go back to the beginning of
this republic." Prostitution, as just one example,
"goes back to the beginning of this republic." But
that doesn't mean you want a prostitute - sexual or
corporate - running the nation.
Not surprisingly, the
National Association of Manufacturers has a post
on its blog trumpeting Thompson's first major policy
declaration: His decision to make enacting new corporate tax
breaks the centerpiece of his campaign.

Romney
says he wants 'big stick'
By
AMY LORENTZEN, Associated Press Writer
June
16, 2007
DUBUQUE,
Iowa - Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney
said Saturday that if he's elected, he wants "to
carry the big stick" by increasing the size of
the nation's military.
The
former Massachusetts governor said his plans include
boosting the size of the military by at least 100,000
troops and increasing the military budget.
Romney
recalled the words of President Theodore Roosevelt,
who said the United States should "Speak softly
and carry a big stick," in its foreign relations.
"I
want to carry the big stick," Romney told about
200 people at an event in Dubuque. "I hope I
don't have to use it, but I want to make sure we have
it so that people understand we are a nation of
strength."
"If
you look across the world you can recognize that there
is terror going on," Romney said. "... There
is a worldwide effort of different people all intent
on bringing down modernity and, replacing it, in some
respects, with barbarism."
Romney
defended President
Bush's performance, noting his policies
extend beyond President
Bush's performance, noting his policies
extend beyond Iraq.
He called Bush a statesman who has shored up the
nation's economy, expanded renewable energy
capabilities and chosen appropriate U.S.
Supreme Court justices.
"Everything
he does, he does from the standpoint of what is best
for the American people," Romney said.
His
wife, Ann, gave the crowd a scare, falling a couple of
inches from the platform stage. After the noisy
tumble, which elicited a loud gasp from the crowd, she
got up quickly with help from her husband and those
around. She joked "that I ride horses, that was
nothing."

on how the GOP is crushing innovation
Imagine if tire
manufacturers lobbied against filling potholes so they
could sell more tires. Or if private emergency
services got local agencies to cut funding for fire
departments so people would end up calling private
services first. And what if private schools pushed to
reduce public school money so more families would flee
the public system? Or what if taxicab companies
managed to get a rail line placed just far enough from
an airport to make public transportation prohibitively
inconvenient?
One can learn a tremendous amount about
the character of a presidential candidate by how his
opponents view him.
Montana's Congressman Denny Rehberg always refuses
co-sponsoring bills like repealing the federal income tax,
ending Social Security payouts to illegal aliens again
living back in Mexico, and recently said no to getting the
U.S. out of the United Nations.
Rehberg sits on the Liberty Caucus, whose chairman, Rep. Ron
Paul, is running for United States president. Paul
continually authors bills like these, common-man bills that
career politicians like Rehberg despise.
Paul's a folk hero to those who still advocate
constitutional restrictions on the federal government,
community taken care of locally, gun protections for
individuals not government, and the abolishment of every
unconstitutional federal cabinet department. Additionally,
Paul has refused the plush pension "given" our
representatives by taxpayers, while also constantly
returning taxpayer money to the Treasury from his office's
allocated budgets.
Meanwhile, Giuliani and McCain openly refused to debate Paul
in April in New Hampshire. Though, what could they possibly
say in defense of themselves before a real Republican?
Better to lead by cut-and-running from the voters.
Too often folks say, "I voted for the lesser of two
evils." Send a message to Washington. Look up Paul, a
statesman leading by personal example, not another
media-picked, cowardly, camera-hogging "trust me"
politician worrying over his pancake makeup tint before
appearing on Larry King. And, yes, that means you, Rudy
McRomney.

The June 13 letter by Joan Hurdle was right on the mark.
Until the American people understand that elections are
being bought by the wealthy, powerful few and by
corporations with deep pockets, as well as an agenda for the
few, democracy doesn't have a chance. Neither does a
so-called theocracy many religious people wish to see come
to power.
As it stands, our government may be a democracy in name or
it may become a theocracy in name but, in the long run, it
is and will be a oligarchy. An oligarchy is defined as
"a government by a small group of people." Our
government is "of the rich/powerful, by the
rich/powerful and for the rich/powerful." The
rich/powerful represent about 1 percent of our population.
Think again if you believe any of the rich and powerful care
what happens to you and yours.

Note
from Melissa: The United States of America is actually
a Constitutional
Republic, though the mindless masses have been
brainwashed by the media propagandists, as mandated by the
International Bankers, to believe it is a Democracy.
We, who are awake, all know that nothing is being done
according to how a Constitutional Republic should be run,
however.

What
Really Happened
The
Truth is a Valuable Commodity
Blog
from the site owner of What
Really Happened.com
We live in a time of very
unpleasant realities. Truth has become such a valuable
commodity that the government of the United States and the
media have started (to put it politely) economizing it. Documented
cases of media deception over the years have made it
clear that the media lies to the public on important issues.
As Richard Salent, Former President of CBS News has stated,
media's job is to feed the public what media thinks the
public ought to know. Clearly, anything that happens that
the media doesn't think the public needs to know about will
simply not be reported.
By way of example, let's take
a look at the
JFK assassination.
